Instructor – Dance Trapeze, Slings
Financial Manager

Charlotte has been involved with Canopy since she first attended summer camp in 2007. She started with trapeze, but later branched out to slings and fabrics. She loves trying new equipment and has experimented with cloud sling, pole, lyra, various pieces of metal, and even some unusual equipment mash-ups, and she continues to try out new equipment to help expand her aerial knowledge.

Beginning with teaching camp in 2015, Charlotte has expanded to teaching trapeze, slings, and fabrics classes. She has been involved in the slings program since its inception and has greatly contributed to its development through building curriculum and training new teachers. She continues to seek out opportunities to expand her knowledge in aerial dance and teaching.

Charlotte has always had a love of theater, acting in local productions throughout her childhood and moving to the tech side of things in high school. She ran lights for some school productions and found it to be an interesting design medium and loved how it visually took a production from the rehearsal to the performance stage. So when Canopy installed a new lighting system in 2021, she was excited to learn how to use it and quickly became in charge of lights for all Canopy shows. She always aims to enhance each piece with just the right lighting.

And now she is the studio cat! Well, CATS, Canopy Accounting and Tech Support. Charlotte began training to be the new financial manager in summer of 2024 and fully took over by the end of the year. As a person who loves numbers, spreadsheets, and repetitive tasks, she finds it to be a great fit for her. She has been excited to expand her role at Canopy and hopes to continue her growth here in the future.
