Dear Canopy Community,
Our Board of Directors and Executive Director have been monitoring coronavirus (COVID-19) developments with guidance from the CDC, Georgia Department of Public Health, Clarke County Health Department, and the Georgia Department of Education. As the situation has continued to change rapidly, our top priority remains the health and safety of the Canopy community. Following the decisions of UGA Board of Regents and CCSD, Canopy will close until it is safe to re-open.
Depending on the length of the shut down, all students registered for spring session will receive either a voucher for the missed classes or a refund for the full session. More information will be available soon.
Please know that this is a very difficult decision for all involved and we understand the disappointment on all levels. However, we all feel responsible to practice “social distancing” to slow the spread of this virus – and we’d rather take the action now than wait and wish we’d done it sooner. During this uncertain time, please know that we will continue to update as additional information becomes available. Please take all precautions to keep your families and our broader community safe.
