We have been monitoring the local case rates, hospitalization rates, and other available metrics, including waste water, to determine the level of transmission in the community. Given the levels of low transmission at this time, we will be moving to mask optional classes starting with the Fall 2 session on October 10th. Students who prefer to continue wearing masks are encouraged to do so and will be supported by staff. All staff are vaccinated against COVID-19.
We will continue to monitor these conditions and will consider reinstating a mask requirement when and if appropriate as based on the data and guidance from the CDC and local community health partners. As a reminder, if you are feeling ill, have a fever, or any other symptoms please do not come to class. Please continue to follow CDC guidelines for isolating and masking if you are exposed to COVID-19.
