Handstands & Handbalancing
2:30pm – 4:00pm
$60
All levels welcome
Have you ever wanted to learn a handstand, but couldn’t get over the fear of going upside down? Have you ever dreamed of holding a handstand anywhere and everywhere? Handbalancing is the art of being on your hands, mainly balancing in a handstand shown in circus performances.
We will learn how to properly prepare our bodies, mainly conditioning our wrists and shoulders towards achieving a handstand. Also, this workshop will cover other topics such as partner handbalancing, shapes, presses, backbends and apparatus for intermediate and advanced level practitioners. Lastly, we will talk about many factors that contribute to building a healthy and sustainable practice. In the end, you will feel more confident and powerful within yourself to practice handstands more often.
Come ready to learn, work and most importantly have fun!!!
